Privacy Policy

JobSpy ("we", "us") is a job-discovery app that brings together job opportunities from major job boards and notifies you in real time when new postings match your preferences. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the JobSpy mobile app and website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Account information. When you sign up we receive your email address and, depending on how you sign in (email, Google, or Apple), your name. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase.

Job alert preferences. The job categories, keywords, and countries you choose so we can match new postings to you.

CV information. If you use the CV builder, the details you provide — such as your name, phone number, LinkedIn URL, skills, work experience, education, and professional summary — are stored so we can generate CVs for you. Providing this information is optional.

Device and notification data. A push-notification token and basic device type, so we can deliver job alerts to your device.

Purchase information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payments partner (RevenueCat, together with Google Play / the App Store) processes the purchase. We receive subscription status — never your card details.

Support messages. If you contact us in the app, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.

Diagnostics. Crash reports and basic usage diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry) that help us find and fix problems. These are not used to profile you.

Job postings themselves are aggregated from publicly available listings on job platforms — they are about jobs, not about you.

• To match new job postings to your alert preferences and notify you.
• To generate CVs tailored to jobs you choose, using the information you provided. CV generation uses an AI service (Google Gemini); your CV input is sent to it solely to produce your document.
• To operate subscriptions and unlock paid features.
• To answer your support messages.
• To keep the service reliable and fix crashes.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party advertising.

We use a small number of service providers to run JobSpy, each receiving only what they need: Google Firebase (sign-in, push notifications, crash reporting), Supabase (database and file storage), Google Gemini (CV text generation), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Sentry (error monitoring). We don't share your personal data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account and its data from the app (Profile → Account settings), or email us at support@jobspy.app and we will delete it. Generated CV files can be deleted from the CV screen at any time.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with reputable cloud providers. Sensitive credentials are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information with industry-standard measures.

JobSpy is intended for people of working age and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

If we make material changes we will update this page and the effective date above, and where appropriate notify you in the app.
